Have you ever looked at when you like to do things? Some of us work better in the morning when we get up and go. Others of us tend to do things at night before we go to bed. It is said that this is due to our internal clocks in our bodies. While many like to think that we all have the same sort of clocks, some scientists are saying that this isn’t true. It’s said that many of us have a thing called a circadian clock that is different among people. There are many things that these clocks do. They are in control of our sleep cycles. They control the activities of our digestive tracks. There are other things that they control as well. Some have seen through studies that this can even specify how the body reacts when a person takes some drugs.
While there are some that suggest this theory, we don’t know a whole lot about this due to how long it takes to test such theories. It might be harder to do is well. In order for them to do this, they would have to draw blood from someone. While this doesn’t seem hard to do, they have to do this every hour which is where the task gets tedious. This is how they are to look at the melatonin which is a hormone in the body which is said to have a tie with a person’s body clock.
While this is the older method, thanks to a Japanese group, we have come up with a different way of testing this. This can monitor the internal body time by using a molecular timetable. This tests the blood samples for more than fifty metabolites. This checks the hormones as well as the amino acids. They just need two blood samples from a person each day. When they use this, they can then ensure that the delivery of drugs is synchronized to the body time. While there are genetic differences, there are also temporal differences. This is a good start for them to do the testing needed to back up such accusations.
However, it is said that more work will need to be done as well. When they do more work on this, more people will be able to use this and this test will be open to more people all over the world. The people that they used for this newer test were men who appeared to be younger. They will need the same sort of timetables for women. Not to mention that right now, they have only tested on younger males. They will need more timetables for people of all sorts of ages at that. They are also hoping to get it to that they work on the precision. They would like to reduce the blood samples from needing two a day to only needing one. It is then that if they were to create such a test and narrow down some fields that they would have it to just where they have needed it to be. This would give us more answers to this theory that has been linked to why people can do more during one time of day more than another.
